Jessica's Story

Jessica was a 4th grade student attending a gifted program in a private school. She was struggling in reading and math. Despite numerous tutors and remediation, her grades began to plumit. Her mother considered removing her from her gifted program as she was not meeting state standards. With the help of HEAR MY VOICE and  a personaized evaluation  followed by intensive Therapeutic tutoring, Jessica found her voice. Her grades increased and she received a Level 4 on her MATH and ELA state exams. 

 

Angelica's Story

Angelica was a 3rd grade student that was excelling in her gifted program in a private school. In school she appeared to have no behavioral issues or emotional concerns. While at home, her behavior was described by her mother as out of conrol. She had severe emotional outburts at home at times for no reason that began to affect her relationship with her mother. She was difficult to manage and her mother was losing control. With the help of HEAR MY VOICE, Angelica found her voice. With intensive in home behavior therapy and working closely with her mother, a plan of action was devised. Underlining issues of abandonment and Anxiety were uncovered and with the right support, Angelica began to show great improvements.
